Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Hallmedia ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Send Gram, our mobile application available on iOS and Android (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you create and send grams (messages, photos, or cards) through the App, we collect the content you compose, including text, images selected from your device, and recipient information (such as a phone number or email address) that you voluntarily supply.
Device and usage information
We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the App, including your device model, operating system version (iOS or Android), a randomly assigned device identifier, app version, crash reports, and general usage statistics. This information is used solely to maintain and improve the App and is not linked to your identity.
Permissions
The App may request access to the following device features depending on the actions you perform:
- Camera — to take photos for inclusion in a gram. Access is requested only when you initiate this action and is not used in the background.
- Photo Library — to select existing images from your device. On iOS, access is scoped to the photos you explicitly select using the system picker. On Android, access is limited to what the system media picker exposes.
- Notifications — to alert you when a gram you sent has been received or when you receive a gram from someone else. This permission is optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To deliver grams to their intended recipients.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the App.
- To diagnose crashes and fix technical issues.
- To send push notifications that are directly related to your activity in the App (e.g., delivery confirmations).
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing profiling, or sale to third parties.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We engage trusted third-party vendors (e.g., cloud infrastructure or push notification services) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via a prominent notice in the App before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
Gram content is retained only as long as necessary to deliver it to the recipient and for a short period thereafter to support delivery confirmation. Technical logs and crash reports are retained for up to 90 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time; see our Data Deletion page for instructions.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect the information we handle. Data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. However, no security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
Send Gram is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy law including the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address below.
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.
8. Platform-Specific Information
iOS (Apple App Store)
On iOS, any device permissions you grant may be revoked at any time through Settings → Privacy & Security. The App conforms to Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and does not use any Apple advertising identifiers (IDFA) or tracking frameworks. Our App Store privacy nutrition label reflects the categories of data described in this policy.
Android (Google Play)
On Android, permissions may be revoked at any time through Settings → Apps → Send Gram → Permissions. We comply with Google Play's data safety requirements, and our Data Safety section in the Play Store listing reflects the data practices described in this policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the App or by other means. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
